چکیده
We give a soft geometric proof of the classical result due to Conn stating that a Poisson structure is linearizable around a singular point (zero) at which the isotropy Lie algebra is compact and semisimple.

Birkhoff's Theorem from a geometric perspective: A simple example
From Hilbert's theorem of zeroes, and from Noether's ideal theory, Birkhoff derived certain algebraic concepts (as explained by Tholen) that have a dual significance in general toposes, similar to their role in the original examples of algebraic geometry. I will describe a simple example that illustrates some of the aspects of this relationship. The dualization from algebra to geometr...
متن کاملNormalization of Poincaré Singularities via Variation of Constants
We present a geometric proof of the Poincaré-Dulac Normalization Theorem for analytic vector fields with singularities of Poincaré type. Our approach allows us to relate the size of the convergence domain of the linearizing transformation to the geometry of the complex foliation associated to the vector field. A similar construction is considered in the case of linearization of maps in a neighb...
متن کاملClosure and Commutability Results for Γ-Limits and the Geometric Linearization and Homogenization of Multiwell Energy Functionals
Abstract. We consider a family of integral functionals, doubly indexed by ε > 0 and j ∈ N∪{∞}, satisfying a uniform G̊arding-type inequality. If these functionals Γ-converge for every j ∈ N as ε → 0, then the same holds also for j = ∞ if the densities fulfill a certain equivalence condition. In that case the Γ-limit for j = ∞ is recovered as the limit of the Γ-limits for finite j as j → ∞. We th...
متن کاملAn Empirical Comparison of Performance of the Unified Approach to Linearization of Variance Estimation after Imputation with Some Other Methods
Imputation is one of the most common methods to reduce item non_response effects. Imputation results in a complete data set, and then it is possible to use naϊve estimators. After using most of common imputation methods, mean and total (imputation estimators) are still unbiased. However their variances (imputation variances) are underestimated by naϊve variance estimators. Sampling mechanism an...
متن کاملDynamic Load Carrying Capacity of Mobile-Base Flexible-Link Manipulators: Feedback Linearization Control Approach
This paper focuses on the effects of closed- control on the calculation of the dynamic load carrying capacity (DLCC) for mobile-base flexible-link manipulators. In previously proposed methods in the literature of DLCC calculation in flexible robots, an open-loop control scheme is assumed, whereas in reality, robot control is achieved via closed loop approaches which could render the calculated ...
